What is SCW?

The Stone Circle Tradition of Wicca is a Wiccan mystery tradition which exists to promote the spiritual development of Dedicants and Initiates; to encourage responsible fulfillment of diverse Wiccan vocations to priest/x/esshood; and to offer service to our communities, to all in Earth’s Household, and to the Divine Spirit of the Universe, One and Many, Male, Female, All, and Beyond.

In the United States, we are a church formally recognized by the IRS as a public charity under IRC section 501(c)(3).

This sequence is for student rituals and Moon Services, which are regularly celebrated Stone Circle Wicca (USA) religious observances, usually held at 5 pm Pacific/8 pm Eastern. There is no financial charge to attend, and they are open to the public. If you are interested in attending a public ceremony, register for the series here, which will sign you up to receive schedule updates and the Zoom room information.

Note: Thu Nov 20 will be the New Moon ceremony led by Anne and the Deepeners' Sphere for the community. Deepeners are our Wicca 101 students who are already 1º Initiates and who want to deepen their knowledge of our Tradition. The intention for this ceremony is to address our fears during this fearful time.  Be sure to bring a Schmatta (lightweight cloth or veil).

Services may be recorded. Participants are welcome to have their cameras on or off at any time, and standard Zoom etiquette applies.

      ThanksGaia

      When: Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 4pm ET/1pm PT

      Where: Zoom

On Sunday, November 30th, we interrupt the regularly scheduled SCW Family and Friends Chat to celebrate ThanksGaia together. Let’s take the opportunity to share gratitude together with family and friends. SCW is thankful to our community and to the Earth for such bountiful blessings!

Bring a Beverage ... and/or ... Leftovers! Surely there is something we are grateful for in this topsy turvy world!

      SCW Paean to Winter

      When: Sunday, December 21, 2025 at 4pm ET/1pm PT

      Where: Zoom

Join us for a modern Yule tradition founded by the DC Radical Faeries and continued by The Stone Circle Tradition of Wicca (USA). For 20 years, we have hosted an annual public reading of the "Paean to Winter” — commissioned by Baba Niko and written for DCRF Yule 2005 by our own Jonathan White. A paean is a triumphal eulogy of praise that speaks of ancient and modern mysteries of Yule.

The second student rituals for the SCW 101 class will be public and recorded. Students will demonstrate the integration of all they have learned about the SCW way of holding public ceremonies.

Sphere 2 // Mon Nov 24 - Harvest BonfireJoin us around our bonfire for a sacred ritual honoring the changing seasons. This is a time to gather what sustains us, release what no longer serves, and prepare our spirits for the quiet of winter. Together, we’ll move through guided visualization and reflection to explore what to hold onto from this year’s harvest, what to transform in the coming months, and what to let rest. Step into the dark with intention, community, and care-- and then emerge renewed.

Sphere 1 // Thu Dec 4 - Full Moon ceremony: The Cold Supermoon rises, bright and still. Together we’ll turn our attention to gravity—the quiet force that holds and connects all things—and notice what stirs within its pull.

Sphere 4 // Sat Jan 3 - Student Full Moon ceremony

Sphere 3 // Sun Feb 1 - Student Imbolc / Full Moon ceremony. We will lean into the moments of darkness just before the light returns in our Imbolc Ceremony. We invite our community to come together, seeking the spark of what we wish to tend for the next six months. As we peer into the blessed unknown, we will use our preferred tools for divination to garner insight into our deep desires. Please bring a tea light candle (specifically this size, in any color) and lighter/matches, your preferred divination tool (if none available, you can use your candle), and a journal or paper to record your learnings.

Register here, and you will receive schedule updates and the Zoom room information by email. We can't wait for you to see what our students have learned. These are sure to be moving, well-crafted ceremonies.

Student rituals will be recorded. Participants are welcome to have their cameras on or off at any time, and standard Zoom etiquette applies.
