Join us on a journey to the Witch’s Garden of Power, where you will commune with revolutionary ancestors in the dark night of the new moon of December. Bring your wands and make yourselves comfortable in preparation for our imaginative journey. Mon, Jan 13 · Ice Full MoonÁine Swallowtail 1° in service, 8 pm ET on Zoom
This month’s full moon is called, among other names, the Ice Moon. It was given that name because in January in the upper parts of the Northern Hemisphere, the ice grows thick on our window panes and sticks its long crystal fingers down from trees and buildings alike, chilling us with its frigid stillness. It is a time for staying indoors, for dreaming and sitting by the fire, and for crafting new objects and new ideas to help us in the year to come. This ritual will ask a blessing on our creative works for the winter, and on the tools we use for them. Please bring those tools, whatever they may be, to be blessed. Whether knitting needles or buzzsaws, journals with pens, mixing bowls with measuring cups, or miniatures with paint, tonight we honor all the many ways that we use the dark of the year to create beauty and warmth. Please bring: any crafting or creative tools you wish to have blessed. Wed, Jan 29 · New Moon in AquariusHazel 2° in service, 8 pm ET on Zoom What you want can exist, if you dare to find it. Join Hazel and the ritual team on the new moon in Aquarius, a time of innovation and imagination. On this dark night, we turn our eyes to the starry heavens and we dream, joining the generations of seekers who have turned twinkling lights into maps to guide them to their hearts’ desires. What are the constellations of our own desires? How do they speak to each other across the skies? What if we made our desires so big that we launched them into the sky? Please bring paper and something to write or draw with. You might also appreciate having a lit candle nearby for inspiration, but it’s not required for the ritual. | The Moon ceremonies and student rituals do not have individual registrations.
