The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions is a beloved queer Utopian text written by Larry Mitchell with lush illustrations by Ned Asta, published by Calamus Press in 1977. Part-fable, part-manifesto, the book takes place in Ramrod, an empire in decline, and introduces us to the communities of the faggots, the women, the queens, the queer men, and the women who love women who are surviving the ways and world of men. Cherished by many over the four decades since its publication, The Faggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions offers a trenchant critique of capitalism, assimilation, and patriarchy that is deeply relevant today.

Interdependence Days is an annual Stone Circle Wicca event focused on rejoicing in community, honoring human relationships, and observing an alternative national holiday.

We gather to garner our energies, exchange blessings, and empower each other in a weekend of magick for ourselves, our community, and our nation.

This year, we offer an event format that includes Opening and Closing Rituals, Workshops and Bardic Circles with the intention of renewing our focus in nature.

Who can attend?

This event is designed for SCW members and their friends and family. Initiates, current students and community members are welcome to invite guests. Please do invite people you know who would enjoy our community. Please do not invite the general public or publicize the event to wide audiences.

Private room downstairs in the barn; Queen bed and a small lounge for up to 2 people. Very limited availability.

Meal Plans

Full Weekend - $105.00 (includes dinner Friday, breakfast/lunch/dinner Saturday, and breakfast Sunday)
Saturday only - $64.00 (includes lunch and dinner)

No one turned away for lack of funds: If you need sunshine funds in order to attend this event, please register like normal, select "invoice me" when you get to the payment screen, and then send a short email to stonecirclewiccainfo@gmail.com indicating your need for sunshine funds.

In case of illness: If you have a fever, cough, vomiting, diarrhea or shortness of breath, please do not attend.

Accessibility: We've made an effort to find a suitable alternative location but for now SSC is our best option for this event. The land is not flat or easily traversed for those with mobility aids, however, options for staying near the barn for all event activities have been arranged to make it as accessible as possible.

Hot Weather: It is likely to be very warm and sunny. Bring whatever you need to keep yourself comfortable, i.e. sunscreen, hats, cooling cloths, hand fans, and light, loose clothing, etc.

About the Venue

Stone Song Center is a welcoming space nestled in the Allegheny Mountains of Western Maryland. It includes a beautiful farmhouse overlooking 23 acres of luscious land and a renovated barn that serves as a retreat center. The barn has electricity, running water, and bathrooms with hot showers and flush toilets. The land includes a small pond and creek, a fire circle, nature trails, an apiary, and an organic vegetable garden and orchard.

Camping at Stone Song is find-your-own space, with some meadow and some tree-based spaces. Bring your own camping equipment and towels; shared bathrooms are located in the barn with hot showers and flush toilets. Non-campers can upgrade to bunkhouse or farmhouse accommodations. A Day Pass option is available for those who want to attend during the day but sleep elsewhere.

Accommodations in the bunkhouse are dormitory-style, with single and double beds in a shared space and with shared bathrooms. Linens are provided. The farmhouse has two rooming options. Both provide linens and towels, and both have shared bathrooms. The Clover room and loft offer seven beds in shared spaces. The Beebalm bedroom, which sleeps 3, is a private room with one queen and one single.

Wherever you are staying, please be mindful that other attendees' tents, rooms, and sleeping spaces are to be treated with respect. These are private places for those who occupy them and you should only enter with explicit, enthusiastic consent.

Stone Song Center does not allow personal campfires. We encourage attendees to participate in the meal plan. Dietary restrictions can be accommodated.

Stone Song Center does not have trash service so please plan to pack out anything you pack in.
