Interdependence among one another, with Ancestors, Descendants, and the Divine


Our ancestors wove history, working together interdependently, that allows us to be here now, continuing on paving the way for our descendants. We kick off the celebration of "Us" Friday evening with a welcome to Community. We examine our own interdependence all weekend with ample time for community chats over coffee, workshops, ritual, and perhaps even some bardic offerings in the evening.

Program Highlights

Friday

Opening Ritual- As we build our lives here on Earth, we rely upon the legacy of those who have gone before. Join us as we pay tribute to our ancestors and recall the ways in which they have influenced our lives. As above, so below.

Dance Party - Come listen to music and move as your soul is inspired and your body allows. This is a place to dance, whether you’re on your feet or in your seat, and to share music and silliness with your friends!

Saturday

Yoga - Available for all abilities and ages

Goblin Crafting - A chaotic, creative approach to getting your craft projects done. No skills required and bring anything that takes your fancy. A short presentation and most of the time will be group crafting plus chaotic Goblin suggestion/commentary.

"Drawing On Spirit" led by Eldritch. What can you learn from meditative doodling? Artistic talent not required to learn what you can uncover from this practice of simple line, simply listening to spirit. Based on Source Imagery (Schuman) All you need is paper and pen/pencil. See you soon!

SCW and Reproductive Freedom and Justice -Our particular religious ethics, practice, and teachings inform our stance and Statement on Reproductive Freedom, unequivocally supporting the right to abortion and other health care, both for pregnant-capable people, as well as for all LGBTQ+ people and communities of color who are at risk from the recent SCOTUS decision. Come learn what SCW has to say and how we've said it in public, here in the post-Roe United States.

Main Ritual - We gather as a community composed of unique individuals possessed of diverse talents. This ritual is focused on identifying our skills and the related tools that we can wield in service to common goals. From the many, one.

Bardic Circle -Saturday night full of singing, poetry, etc.

Sunday

Morning Movement - Available for all abilities and ages

Experiential Self compassion- A time of trying modalities of self compassion. Creating a more peaceful interdependent life.

Gods Painting - Bring your art supplies - paints, pens, pencils - and work on creating 2D art featuring your deity or deities of choice. This is less about technique and more about process and connection, so any skill level is welcome!

Closing- We will close out the event with a ritual that will foster a sense of interconnectedness with our bodies, other people, and the universe. As below, so above!
