A Quiver of Skills

A Cornucopia of Milestones!

The biannual Gatherings, occurring near the Equinox, are events designed to maintain the balance of connection within the Tradition of Stone Circle Wicca. First and foremost, this is where we come together for the renewal of the bonds of friendship, to make ceremony together--just us, to check in with each other spiritually, and to reconnect with the Tradition and it's values. We also tend to some administrative duties to make sure everyone is kept abreast of the activities of SCW and to receive some feedback from the membership on the health of the organization and the needs of it's members.

All Initiates are encouraged to set aside the time for the retreat just as you would if you were traveling to be together in person. Please bring your full self, just as you are and attend as many of the activities as you can, bearing in mind your personal needs and energy level. We look forward to connecting with you.

Zoom Etiquette

  1. Familiarize yourself with Zoom, if you are not already familiar. Reach out to another member if you need help.
  2. Change your name to this format:
    Name, SCW Degree (Dedicant, 1°, 2°, 3°), Pronoun. Ex: Lily, 3°, She/Her
  3. Add a selfie to your profile, especially if you do not have video or prefer not to use it.

  4. Please consider using video. Pay attention to the lighting in the room and adjust as necessary so we can see you. We would love to see your faces!

  5. Arrive on time: Sign in a couple of minutes early to be sure you're on time and don't have problems signing in. The meeting will stay open for the duration of the weekend and you should not have to "wait for the host".

  6. Sound: Mute yourself unless you are speaking to cut down on interference and sound issues. Only one person can be heard at a time, and we want to hear what you all have to say.

  7. Communicating while muted:
a.) Chat Room - You can send messages to the whole group or to an individual/ use this to communicate while muted, ask questions, etc.
b.) Show support to others with the "clap" or "thumbs up" buttons on the bottom of the Zoom app. you can also wave "jazz hands" as a happy support on video.

  8. If you get booted please sign back in, mute yourself, and use your best judgement to not derail any activities, especially during ceremonies.

  9. Phone or Computer: Zoon tends to be "better" in general on the computer, although sound and video can be better on newer phones. If your computer doesn't have a camera, the phone will likely be the better option.

  10. If you need anything for a specific session, have it ready ahead of time. (Ex. Drinks, cushions, altar items, etc.)
